I had a nice stay overall at Hacienda Tres Rios, as the activities and natural surroundings provided a fantastic backdrop for relaxation and fun. The cenote swimming and kayaking adventures were highlights, but the beach's swimmability was a letdown due to sargassum. The service varied, with some staff being attentive while others were less so, which affected my experience a bit. Still, the resort had a lovely charm and a family-friendly vibe that suited our needs.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and had eco-friendly products, though I encountered some cleanliness issues like a spider and cobweb.
Service
7.0
While some staff were super kind, especially Cesar at the bar, others seemed inattentive, making me feel like a second-class guest sometimes.
Location
7.0
The resort is set in a natural mangrove jungle, which adds to its beauty, but the beach wasn't what I expected—no white sand and clear blue water.
Dining
8.0
Dining was decent, with a wide range but nothing really good. I particularly liked the Italian restaurant's atmosphere, and several servers stood out for their attentiveness.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities like the pools and bike rentals were great, and I enjoyed the activities available, but the hot tubs shut down too early.

6.0/10

Overall, my stay at Hacienda Tres Rios was good due to the excellent service and beautiful surroundings, despite some issues with the dining quality and beach conditions. The staff, especially Nathaly and Cesar, really went above and beyond to enhance my experience. However, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness from some employees, and the food didn't quite meet my expectations for a resort of this caliber.

Rooms
9.0
My Junior Suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, allowing for a great stay. Housekeeping did a fantastic job maintaining the suite.
Service
8.0
Service was generally good, particularly from Nathaly, who made the best cappuccino, and Cesar, who took care of my family at the bars. However, some staff were not as attentive, particularly towards non-Spanish speaking guests.
Location
10.0
Situated amidst stunning jungle landscapes, I loved waking up to views of treetops and the sounds of nature. The hotel was beautifully maintained, providing ample opportunities to explore the rivers and cenotes.
Dining
6.0
While I enjoyed the variety of restaurants and particularly the Italian and Mexican options, I found the food and drinks could have been better, leaving something to be desired in quality.
Facilities
7.0
The resort offered a plethora of activities like kayaking and biking, although I felt the pool closing times were a bit early, limiting some fun in the evening.

6.2/10

My stay at Hacienda Tres Rios Resort was a mixed bag. While the beautiful grounds and numerous activities made for a lovely atmosphere, my experience was marred by service inconsistencies and maintenance issues in the rooms. The dining options were decent, but I felt they could have been more varied.

Rooms
7.0
The Junior Suite I stayed in had a great view, but I found the soundproofing to be poor. I could hear every noise from outside and above, which made it hard to relax or get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the bed wasn't very comfortable, which was a letdown.
Service
6.0
The service was hit or miss. While I did encounter one very nice bartender who was attentive and made the best frozen drinks, many staff members seemed more focused on Spanish-speaking guests. There were also lapses in service, like not refilling the bottled water in my room without a request.
Location
8.0
The resort itself is stunningly located in the jungle, with beautiful rivers and beaches. However, reaching town is a bit of a hassle since taxi rides can be quite pricey from the resort. Currently, there are also some issues with decayed seaweed on the beach, which detracted from the experience.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were varied but somewhat limited compared to larger resorts I've stayed in. While I enjoyed the food, especially the fresh sandwiches, I felt that more choices would have enhanced the overall experience.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were generally fine with 24-hour room service and various activities like kayaking and biking available. However, I did notice a few maintenance issues throughout the hotel that could be addressed to improve the overall guest experience.

7.0/10

I had a fantastic two-week stay at Hacienda Tres Rios, enjoying a lovely mix of relaxation and adventure. The beautiful surroundings and numerous activities such as snorkeling and kayaking truly immersed me in nature. However, the food at the buffet could use some improvement, and the service was occasionally spotty. Overall, it's a great place for families, offering a safe and fun atmosphere for everyone.

Rooms

My junior suite was spacious and always clean, providing a nice balance of modern comforts in a natural setting.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, though I did notice inconsistencies in service, especially during busy hours.
Location
9.0
Nestled in a private nature park, the setting of the resort is stunning, surrounded by beautiful cenotes and lush landscapes.
Dining
7.0
The food was decent, but while the specialty restaurants excelled, I found the main buffet lacked variety during breakfast times.
Facilities
8.0
The resort offers a great range of facilities, including complimentary activities like kayaking and biking, although the pool temperature could be improved.

5.4/10

I really enjoyed my time at Hacienda Tres Rios, especially the activities and beautiful cenotes. However, some issues with the room and service made the experience a bit uneven. The staff I encountered were generally friendly, but there were moments where the service could've been better, particularly around poolside. Overall, it was a good vacation with some fantastic amenities.

Rooms
7.0
My Junior Suite was clean and spacious with a great view of the cenote. The bed was comfortable, but I did notice some mildew in the room, which wasn't a great start. Thankfully, we had a lovely jacuzzi on the patio that made up for it.
Service
6.0
While I met some really friendly staff like Diego, who went the extra mile to chat and help out, I felt the overall service was inconsistent. At times, it felt like the attention was focused more on certain guests, which was a bummer considering we paid for an all-inclusive experience.
Location
8.0
The resort's location is amazing, right by beautiful cenotes and lush jungle trails. However, the beach was mostly unusable due to the seaweed problem, which was disappointing. I did manage to swim in the river, which was a plus.
Dining
6.0
The food was decent overall. I really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant, but I did find the overall dining options a bit limited. Some meals took longer to arrive than expected, which was frustrating at times.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent with accessible kayaking and bike tours, which I loved. However, the poolside service was a bit slow, and there could've been more umbrellas for shade, which made our time at the family pool a struggle at times.
